CAD / CAM technology in dentistry is nothing new. The first CAD/CAM system was developed many years ago (in mid-1980) by Sirona (CEREC). What has changed with the evolution of technology is the accuracy, convenience and affordability of Dentistry! CAD / CAM refers to computer-supported computational design and construction, and in dentistry, it is used to create custom dental restorations.

Using CAD / CAM, the dentist can digitally design a dental restoration, such as a crown or bridge, and then accurately construct it using a CNC machine. This reduces production time and ensures high accuracy in the finished product.

CAD / CAM systems are also commonly used to create all-ceramic dental crowns, dental implants and other dental materials with specialized properties. Overall, it offers safe, accurate and specialized solutions in the world of Dentistry! (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CAD/CAM_dentistry)

With the addition of other technological means such as 3D printers CBCT (conical beam computed tomography) and technology recording the movements of the jaw and Facescanners the creation of the digital patient is a fact. In this way, High Precision Restorations are achieved individualized to each patient.
